Maldives invites bids for combine 12.5MW solar PV capacity across selected islands

  • The Government of Maldives, with support from Asian Development Bank (ADB), has proposed to implement Accelerating Sustainable System Development Using Renewable Energy (ASSURE) Project which will support capital intense investments to support renewable energy development.
  • To complement this project, the Government of Maldives is undertaking a project which will install 12.5MWp solar PV systems in selected islands of the Maldives.

The Ministry of Finance, on behalf of Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy (“the Employer”) wishes to extend the Invitation for Bids, ref. number (IUL)13-K/13/2024/86 (5th March 2024) for the Installation of 12.5 MWp Grid-tied Solar Photovoltaic Systems in Selected Islands in the Republic of Maldives, under Design, Build, Finance, Own, Operate, Maintain and Transfer Basis.
