Angola to roll out 62250 solar home systems

  • Angola’s National Director of Renewable Energy and Rural Electrification (DNERER), Mr. Serafim da Silveira has signed a contract with Mrs. Christiane Kragh, Managing Director of Off-Grid Europe (OGE) for the roll out of 62250 solar home systems to the Angolan government.
  • With their local partner, Project Net Angola, the project will positively impact the lives of more than 350.000 people.

“This project, to be developed in four provinces of the country, is another contribution towards meeting the national goal of ensuring approximately 50% share of renewable energy sources by 2027,” stated Mr Eng. Serafim da Silveira, National Director of DNERER.

The electrification and development of rural areas will stimulate the local economy and promote sustainable growth.

“With this important project in Angola, our company is exploring a new and promising market. As always, it is important to us to provide the best quality solutions and to bring real added value to the local population.” says Christiane Kragh, Managing Director of OGE.

The German company that already has a subsidiary in Senegal, is committed to employ locals, and to establish a long-term team in the country.

Mark Kragh, technical director of OGE adds: “All our hardware is optimised so that we can offer it at competitive prices. In addition to our hardware, other services, from system installation to software, are part of our solutions.”
